UK Sales Director, Sensors and Controls. £100,000 Basic plus significant Management Bonus + Executive Car + Excellent Benefits Package. This is a challenging and exciting UK-Wide role for an international manufacturer of Controls and Sensors that sell into both end users and OEMs. The products are separate but complementary, and there is considerable crossover in their client bases. End-user clients include Food and Drink Process, Oil and Gas, Aerospace, Defence, Automotive, High-Performance Automotive, Industrial Automotive, Construction, General Manufacturing, Medical and Packaging.

The role is leading four separate unit sales directors that in turn, manage around thirty sales, sales support and marketing staff.

The vital criteria that we are looking for are:

+ A highly talented sales leader with technical sales experience within sensors or controls.

+ A proven record in delivering change

+ Sales Leadership of internal and external sales teams - ideally with experience of managing separate group units

+ Strong Strategic ability - a proven record of delivering business growth, possibly backed by a formal qualification, such as an MBA, PGCert Management and Leadership, etc.

+ Proven track record of delivering growth in both EBITDA and sales income

+ Extremely high levels of gravitas, credibility and general leadership skills

+ Lack of ego. Thrives on ownership, responsibility and accountability

You will set the strategy and delivery model to achieve growth across all four business units. You will recruit the talent required to deliver on the plan and drive the implementation of a positive growth culture. Significant resource will be made available to you, and you will have the full cooperation and support of the group board and the wider business to deliver on your joint ambitions.

This business has grown sharply and steadily for several years; they are ahead of the market in terms of product and delivering new and ever-improving solutions. They are stable and financially very strong, possessing both the intent and resources to ensure that their growth plans are realised.

They are recognised as a niche product leader yet are still owned wholly by the founding family and retain the 'family feel'. Consequently, staff are well looked after, receive a generous overall benefits package, and the average tenure in the UK sales team is nearly nine years.
