Trainee Sales Engineer – Burners & Combustion Equipment

Job Title: Trainee Sales Engineer – Burners & Combustion Equipment

Industry Sector: Heating/ Process Industries, HVAC, Local Authorities, Specifiers, Industrial End Users, M&E Consultants, M&E Contractors and Consulting Engineers

Area to be covered: South – based South East

Remuneration: Up to £40,000 + 10% Bonus

Benefits: Fully expensed car & full benefits including daily lunch allowance

The role of Trainee Sales Engineer – Burners & Combustion Equipment will involve:

·         Field sales position, selling a manufactured range of gas, oil and dual fuel burners

·         65% of your time winning specifications with M&E consultants & M&E contractors and consulting engineers

·         35% of your time will be spent with process industries, end users, local authorities, and OEM’s

·         70% new business development position, 30% account management

·         Targeted to achieve circa £500,000 revenue in 2019, this area turned over significantly more then this in 2018

·         Dealing with predominantly process type customers

·         Focusing on promoting industrial burners

·         Following the sale from specification through to completion of project, ensuring specification is not broken

·         Dealing with end users such as; hospitals, process industries, petrochemical and facilities management organisations

The ideal applicant will be a Trainee Sales Engineer – Burners & Combustion Equipment with:

·         Must have either an electrical engineering or mechanical engineering qualification

·         May consider an engineer with a relevant technical background who wishes to move into a sales

·         Must be comfortable with selling to M&E consultants, M&E contractors, consulting engineers, local authorities, process industries and end users

·         Specific burner or boiler knowledge is not essential

·         Open to associated product backgrounds such as pumps, compressors, boilers etc.

·         Meticulous in approach, attention to detail

·         Intelligent

·         Knowledge of heating/process industries preferred

·         Process and Engineering backgrounds preferred

·         Enthusiastic, committed, hungry, self-motivated and excellent organizational skills
