Our client is looking to add a new member to their successful sales team at their franchised car dealership in Watford. They are specifically looking for a candidate at entry level into the industry, who is looking to begin their career in car sales in a modern dynamic brand.
There are just two requirements -
- Full UK driving licence
- Customer service/retail/sales experience in any industry.
Beyond these two requirements, our client is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic candidate, eager to learn, who is able to fit into their existing team, and who is capable of putting customers at ease during the buying process.
On offer to the right candidate is an opportunity to learn and develop skills that will allow them to build a long term and successful career. Rather than throw in a candidate at the deep end, they are offering full training during which time you will be paid a trainee salary of £18,000. Once they feel you are ready to move from trainee to fully fledged Sales Executive, which takes up to 6 months.
You will then move on to the Retail Sales Executive package with a basic salary of £12,000 basic + commission & Company Car. (This is not a pay cut - you will only move to this salary once you will be earning more from the basic plus commission than the £18000 you were getting as a trainee.)
In your first year you should be looking to earn circa £25,000 -£30,000 OTE.
Car sales people almost always earn most of their money from commission and the longer term OTE for this role would be be £35,000+ per year (once you have the experience).
