Territory Sales Manager (Medical and Surgical Sales) – Basic circa £40k + Benefits – South of England (below M4, East of M3)

The Role

Uniplex is looking for an ambitious Territory Manager to join their talented Sales Team. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to sell into the National Health Service, as well as be expected to reinforce sales of the existent various Uniplex brands that deliver into the same NHS – specifically the Operating Theatres in hospitals and the Decontamination Service Suppliers that support them.

This is your chance to shape your own role and grow within a newly created position within Uniplex. You will be tasked with being part of a team that delivers key projects, processes and campaigns. You will raise awareness of the various brands the Company owns or factors, building on your own sales experience as you help to economically produce plans in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

The key responsibilities of a Territory Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Targeting potential customers in the South of England and assessing sales opportunities
  • Arranging meetings with potential customers and selling our range of medical supplies
  • Compiling a list of target prospects within the area, and cold calling them to establish their various needs and wants
  • Analysing competitor activities in the region and assessing opportunities for business development
  • Attending relevant industry events and conferences to build business, and networking with businesses in the territory to build relationships
  • Working to revenue targets and KPI’s as set by the Managing Director
  • Keeping up to date with industry news to identify opportunities for new business

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Territory Manager:

  • Graduate-calibre individual with experience in the healthcare/medical device industry with a good track record of successful selling into hospitals, both NHS and private
  • Excellent organisational, problem-solving and project management skills
  • The ability to handle a varied workload, achieving sales targets while maintaining high standards and good attention to detail
  • A flair for communicating and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Possesses a strong client service ethic, with the ability to gain the trust and credibility of key colleagues
  • Commercially aware, understanding how to leverage both the Company’s turnover and profitability and to have a good working knowledge of how the NHS operates
