Media Sales Executive

Starting Salary of £18k + uncapped commission, OTE year one £25-£30k, year two £30k-£40k and so on. The company has been trading for 33 years and prides itself on having an unrivalled reputation within the healthcare publishing sector. We are currently looking to recruit, positive, highly motivated individuals, to join our vibrant sales team.

We publish a range of healthcare literature across the UK covering topics such as Pregnancy, Exercise, Elderly Care, Wills, Funeral Plans, Bereavement and so on. Your role will be to contact businesses relevant to the information to offer them the opportunity to promote to their target market within a publication relevant to both themselves and the reader.

Proven experience within a similar sales role is preferred, however, applications will be considered from candidates who are working in a sales environment but not necessarily telesales, and also those not currently working in sales but strongly believe they have the personality and necessary skill set to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Media Sales - Working with both warm and cold leads on a B2B level making outbound calls and follow up e-mails, to attract relevant services to promote in healthcare related publications relevant to the reader
  • Account Management – Post sale you will be responsible for the client's account, which entails collecting payment and ensuring the client is happy with their advertising design
  • Up-Selling – offering the client related media to advertise within.

Required Attributes and Skills:

  • Proficient in the use of e-mail software (ideally outlook)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Able to handle high levels of outbound telephone and e-mail activity
  • Target driven
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Great listening skills
  • Able to handle rejection and remain focused towards your target
  • Bundles of enthusiasm and the ability to use your own initiative

  • Monday to Thursday 9am-5pm (4pm finish on a Friday) *NO WEEKENDS OR EVENINGS*

Our Long Eaton office is located in the town centre and is close to all amenities, we are also only 5-10 minutes from Junction 25 of the M1 and are therefore ideally located for travel from Nottingham, Derby and Loughborough.
