Job Title: Technical Sales Manager – MDF Building Products

Industry Sector:  MDF Products, MDF Panels, OSB, Oriented Strand Board, Panel Systems, Dry lining, Insulation, Passivhaus, Offsite, OSB Products, Bricks, Blocks, Fire Resistant Products, Main Contractors, Sub Contractors, End Users, Specification Sales, Technical Sales

Area to be covered: North London, Northern Home Counties & East Anglia

Remuneration: £40,000 - £45,000 + 15% bonus

Benefits: Fully expensed Car & Full Benefits

The role of the Technical Sales Manager – MDF Products will involve:

·         Technical field sales position selling a manufactured range of MDF and OSB based wood panel products for a variety of applications such as; drylining, interior fit out, external walling, offsite, flooring and roofing

·         Focusing on only commercial projects

·         30% of your time will be spent selling to main contractors & sub-contractors, 30% back selling with the distribution / merchants channels, 30% selling to end users, industrial processors and OEM

·         The remaining 10% generating specifications via architects, end users and specifiers

·         Taking over a successful territory currently turnover £20m capable of doing £30m

·         Conducting CPD presentations where required

·         Keeping a organise CRM system

·         Both managing existing account and focus of driving new business of high value products

·         Approximately 4 days of your time will be spent on the road with 1 days home office admin

·         Fantastic marketing and internal sales support

 

The ideal applicant will be a Technical Sales Manager – MDF Products with:

·         Must have a proven track record selling a technical building product such as; MDF products, OSB products, panel systems, drylining, insulation, passivhaus, offsite building products, timber frame, external façade etc

·         Must have experience of selling to / stimulating demand with main contractors & sub-contractors and back selling that through the distribution channels

·         Must have knowledge of specification sales

·         Ideally have knowledge of dealing with OEMS, processors and off site

·         Must have strong commercial awareness

·         Good presentation and communication skills

·         Well organised, excellent time management and well presented
