Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer – Safety Systems (team management)

Area to be covered: National (predominantly based in the South East)  

Must be based: 1:30hr commute from London office                            

Remuneration: £40,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience) + £5,000 bonus

Benefits: £350 car allowance & full comprehensive benefits package

The role of the Technical Sales Engineer – Safety Systems (team management) (will involve:

·         Technical sales position selling the sales & hire of safety systems such as; handrails, guardrails, safe access, access solutions, roof safety products, clamp fittings, ladders, safety barriers

·         Once up and running in the role, it’s likely that you’ll migrate into the Sales Manager position managing a team of 5

·         When you’re not on the road you will be expected to be in the London office (typically 3 days on the road 2 in the office)

·         All of your time will be spent selling to  main contractors, sub-contractors, rail contractors, installation teams, surveyors, end users such as; schools, shopping centres, supermarkets, hotels (anybody with a roof)

·         You will be targeted to achieve circa £50k per month

·         All of your time working in the commercial and residential market sectors

·         Majority of your time will be spent generating new business relationship, with a Glenigans and great internal sales support

·         Average order values range from £5,000 to £20,000

·         Working closely with internal sales support and General Manager

·         Will be required to upkeep  CRM systems

The ideal applicant will be Technical Sales Engineer – Safety Systems (team management) with:

·         Must have some sort of management / mentoring experience

·         Must have sold a technical related construction product such as; handrails, guardrails, safe access, access solutions, roof safety products, clamp fittings, ladders, safety barriers, ground engineering, roofing products, waterproofing

·         Ideally ground based handrails / guardrails

·         Would consider somebody working as a surveyor or engineers with extensive product knowledge

·         Must have experience dealing with a varied route to market through main contractors, sub-contractors, trail contractors, end users etc

·         Must be able to work at height

·         Organised, have good time management skills and to be self-motivated to perform and reach targets
