Technical Sales Engineer – Formwork & Falsework / Ground Engineering   

Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer – Formwork & Falsework / Ground Engineering            

Industry Sector: Formwork, Falsework, Ground Engineering, Support Equipment, Support Systems, Civil Engineering Contractors, Concrete Contractors, Sub-Contractors, Edge Protection, Propping Systems, Anchor Piles, Frame Contractors   

Area to be covered:  London & South East

Remuneration: £40,000 - £55,000neg (depending on experience) + 10% - 20% Bonus

Benefits: company car OR car allowance and benefits package

The role of the Technical Sales Engineer – Formwork & Falsework / Ground Engineering will involve:

·         Responsible for hire and sales of high quality formwork & falsework products and accessories used within a range of concrete applications

·         All of you time selling into main contractors, specialist sub-contractors, concrete framework contactors and civil engineers

·         Focusing on the London region particularly on the multi-storey framework  market

·         Joining part of a Southern territory currently turning over £11m and looking to grow this considerably

·         Once up and running with be required to turnover circa £2-3m

·         Dealing with projects ranging from small hire sales for £100 up to large bespoke projects of circa £1m

·         75% of your time will be spent generating new business relationships

·         Approximately 25% of your time will be spent managing and expanding existing relationships with key accounts

·         Working alongside a team of 4 sales engineers

The ideal applicant will be Technical Sales Engineer – Formwork & Falsework / Ground Engineering with:

·         Must have a demonstrable track record in sales of formwork & falsework or from a strong structural engineering background working with products such as: ground shoring, edge protection, trench support, frame support systems, concrete consumables or related products

·         Must have experience working with specialist sub-contractors, main contractors, concrete framework contractors and civil engineering contractors  

·         Capable of managing and expanding existing relationships and generating new business relationships

·         Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision

·         Tenacious, professional and comfortable working within a competitive environment
