So what will you be doing?
Working into the Senior Sponsorship Manager, you will manage elements of our sponsorship with England Rugby and Sport in Priority, creating unforgettable live experiences for our customers.
Our partnership with the RFU stems back 24 years and consists of the England Senior Men’s and Women’s team, as well as our O2 Touch programme, which is the fastest growing rugby community programme in the UK. We want our customers and England Rugby fans to believe passionately they are the best team in the world, and that O2 really helps them be the best.
There are over 10 million England Rugby fans in the UK. You need to make them all think that O2 helps them be winners and for the lucky ones that get to experience the thrill of supporting their team in the flesh, it is the best thing since sliced bread, creating experiences that they’ll never forget.
Working closely with the RFU you’ll make sure that from the moment a customer buys a ticket, to when they are discussing their match day with their friends days later, they have the best possible time. You’ll create inspiring marketing campaigns that increase our sport in Priority database and make customers want to become part of, or stay with O2.

Brand Strategy. Ensure you understand our strategic direction, and apply this and the O2 Business Strategy to your activation planning.
O2 Business. Ensure our sponsorships are supporting O2 Business wherever possible, with unique opportunities and access to our sponsorships.
O2 Stakeholders. Sponsorship is very important to our business. Ensure key stakeholders are engaged, informed and briefed on what we are doing and why.
Love for O2. Your passion for our brand needs to be contagious. Make us all proud of the England Rugby Team and our sports offerings within Priority.
Brands on the brain. Check everything we do is on brand and on tone.
Future Gazing. Keep up to date with new media and technology trends; we love world firsts
England Rugby Partnership and Priority
Partnerships. Get to know the key people at the RFU and potential Priority partners to understand what they are trying to do, so that we can all work better together.
Strategy. Work with your sponsorship peers and the Senior Sponsorship Manager to continually evolve and deliver O2’s Sponsorship Strategy.
Reporting. You’ll need to create reports and regular updates for the Senior Sponsorship Manager that tell a great story about what we do, why we do it and why it is successful. This includes sponsorship tracking, KPI setting and media evaluation.
Brand experiences. Use our England Rugby partnership to create the best experiences for our customers, truly adding value to existing and prospects e.g. Priority experiences.
Content. Creation and management of video content that will engage and inspire customers.
Events. Expertise working at large sporting events. There’s nothing better than the O2 Blueroom on a matchday, but you’ll be busy.
Social. Strong social media skills including platform management and developing best in class content distribution strategies alongside our social media team.
O2 Touch. Manage the delivery of our grassroots community rugby programme with the RFU.
Priority. Ensure sport delivers for the Priority business model.
Calendar. Develop and activate our Priority sporting calendar, including sporting events at The O2
Charity. Work very closely with our CSR team, engaging them with rugby and our sponsorship assets
Sports Trade. Monitor and work with key sports trade media in the UK.

* Extensive experience in sponsorship and marketing, with examples of great campaigns
* Be full of ideas, creative, innovative and practical
* Be open and drive new ideas
* Strategic planning, providing insight and rigour behind all our activations
* Never be happy standing still and a high output of quality work, it’s going to be busy!
* Be great at getting on with people and making things happen
* Love working with and understanding what makes a great brand and sponsorship
* Able to make tough decisions, even if it’s going to upset people
* Love working in a team, but can also get on with things yourself
* Be one of the most organised people on the planet
* Happy to jump in whenever you’re needed and when asked, you shout how high!

A critical eye. Spot when our brand might be veering off course or getting diluted.

Sponsorship Team. Work as part of a fast-moving and brilliant O2 sponsorship team. Represent the Senior Sponsorship Manager internally and externally when they’re not available.
Salary and benefits:
We are looking to pay a competitive salary (depending on experience) for this position, and in addition we have some great benefits that could include a bonus, life cover, health care, holiday entitlement and lots of flexible benefits too.
