Specification Sales Manager – Fan Coils & Heat Pumps

Job Title: Business Development Manager – Fan Coils & Heat Pumps

Industry Sector: M&E Consultants, M&E Contractors, Housebuilders, Private Developers, Main Contractors, Fan Coil, Heat Pumps, HIU, VHR, Ventilation and HVAC  

Area to be covered: London

Remuneration: £52,500-£57,000 + up to 20% Bonus

Benefits: Exec Car or £550 Car Allowance + full benefits package

The role of the Technical Specification Sales Manager – Fan Coils & Heat Pumps will involve:

·        Technical field sales position, majority of your time selling a manufactured range of fan coils and heat pumps, remainder of time selling VHR or other ventilation products

·        Direct sale, you will spend approx. 75% of your time winning specifications with M&E consultants and M&E Contractors

·        25% managing relationships with housebuilders, private developers and main contractors

·        New role created through growth, London market simply too big for incumbent field sales professional to cover on their own

·        Huge pipeline of projects (circa £30m)

·        Tasked with achieving £1m turnover year One and £1.75m year Two

·        Focussing on high rise residential (75%) and mixed used/ commercial developments (25%)

·        Project sizes will vary from £25,000 up to £1.5m, with an average of approx. £150,00-£200,000

·        Conducting up to 6 CPD seminars per month

·        40% new business prospecting for new projects, 60% managing existing projects

The ideal applicant will be a Technical Specification Sales Manager – Fan Coils & Heat Pumps with:

·        3-5 years field sales experience of a technical product through specification sales to either M&E consultants and M&E contractors or housebuilders/ private developers

·        Ideally with contacts on the area and an ability to hit the ground running

·        Previous experience of having sold fan coils or heat pumps in preferred, although our client is open to other associated HVAC technical sales (such as HIU’s)

·        Ideally a mechanical engineering background (open to electrical) with demonstrable technical acumen

·        Understanding of Building Regulations (Part L), BREEAM, Energy Performance Certificates and SBEM

·        Excellent communication skills with ideally previous experience of presenting CPD seminars

·        Energetic and passionate

·        Team player
