Specification sales Manager – Commercial Pumps

Job Title: Specification Sales Manager – Commercial Pumps

Industry Sector: Commercial lifting station, commercial pumps, pumping stations, grinder systems, waste water, specification sales, M&E, heating, ventilation, M&E consultants, M&E contractors and civil and drainage merchants

Area to be covered: North – ideally based between Birmingham and the M62

Remuneration: £45,000-£50,000 + 20% Bonus

Benefits: Fully expensed car or car allowance & full benefits package

The role of the Specification Sales Manager – Commercial Pumps will involve:

·        Field sales role promoting a manufactured range of lifting stations & pumps (allows clients to add multiple fixtures and bathrooms to a residence or building without breaking concrete or finished floor and without compromising structural integrity)

·        Covering the North of England

·        Specification project led opportunity targeting M&E consultants and M&E contractors and fulfilling through civil and drainage merchants (currently commercial pump sales come via our clients existing merchant network through the sales of their domestic products)

·        Target will be to grow commercial pump sales alongside a field sales representative in the South from the current level of circa £3m, up to £8m over the next 5 years

·        Visiting construction sites/ contractors to correctly specify which of our clients’ products would be suitable for any given application

·        Prepare quotes and give correct technical advice

·        Develop a robust business plan and undertake full category analysis

·        Develop a comprehensive understanding of the sector/ market trends/ developments by competitors

 

The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager – Commercial Pumps with:

·        Ideally a minimum of 4 years of experience selling commercial pumps or lifting stations within the plumbing &/ or M&E sector

·        Strong technical and field sales orientated background (pumps & pumping stations)

·        May consider other commercial specification field sales backgrounds such as heating or ventilation products

·        Good understanding of the plumbing & heating industry’s dynamics and requirements

·        Proactive, personable, motivated and driven

·        Commercial acumen

·        Confident negotiator with ability to “close the sale”
