Area to be covered: London

Remuneration: £41,000 - £44,000 + £6,000 bonus (guaranteed first year)

The role of the Specification Sales Engineer – Anchors, Fixings and Power Tools will involve:

·         Specification sales position, selling a high quality manufactured range of anchors, screws, sealants, adhesives, fixings, fastenings, power tools, power tool accessories, hand tools and associated products (90% of your time will be focused on selling anchors)

·         70% of your time will be spent selling directly / influencing main contractors, sub-contractors and specialist contractors

·         The remaining 30% of your time will be spent generating specifications via consultants, civil engineers, structural engineers, architects and end users

·         Will spend a large portion of your time on site

·         Will focus on commercially driven projects

·         Provide technical support in training new members of the team

·         Provide sound technical service advice and solutions to consulting engineers and architects

·         Will be targeted on KPI’s relating to activity and the on growth of anchors sales

·         Dealing with a wide range of order values depending on products and project sizes

·         Conduct CPD seminars and attend trade shows when required

·         Regular contact with direct line manager and sales team to provide support and solutions

The ideal applicant will be Specification Sales Engineer – Anchors, Fixings and Power Tools with:

·         Must have come from a technical engineering background with sales coming secondary

·         Must have knowledge and previous experience selling a technical related product anchors, screws, sealants, adhesives, fixings, fastenings, power tools, power tool accessories, hand tools and associated products

·         Must have a qualifications or equivalent experience in structural engineering, civil engineering or mechanical engineering

·         Must have an understanding of construction methods and structural design on projects

·         Ideally have a demonstrable track record within specification sales, selling via consultants, civil engineers, structural engineers, architects, contractors and end uses

·         Ideally have contacts within the related industry

·         An understanding of the current market, market trends and the ensuring the business remains ahead of its competitors

·         Ideally have strong commercial business to business experience 

·         Excellent communication and computer skills

·         A hungry go-getter who is eager to exceed targets and maximise profit
