JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager


PACKAGE: £35-45k, +£30k OTE


Established: 5-10 years.

Locations: Commutable to the West Midlands - Birmingham, Coventry, Warwick, Solihull, Leamington and Redditch.

Turnover: £5-10m.

  • Experience of selling into SMEs up to £100m turnover.
  • 2-3 years B2B sales experience.
  • Passion for IT, and how technology can be harnessed to better business.
  • Someone who cares - cares about progression, cares about development, cares about genuinely helping clients to boost the results they've been getting.
  • New business drive - not afraid to pick up the phone where necessary and build relationships.
  • Inquisitive - you'll be provided with qualified leads, but the skill is in not taking this for granted. Can you really get to the pain-point, and the 'why'?
  • A team player - the office has a modern and fun vibe, but with a culture of success. Do well and enjoy it whilst you do - arguably of the most important requirement.


  • IT or tech sales - software as a service (SaaS), telecoms, media.


  • Sales experience into relevant industries such as manufacturing, food and beverage, and consumer goods.


  • The business enables any organisation to maximise the performance of the sales team by providing seamless and automatic insight into their prospects and client base.
  • Unlike many roles, you'll be provided with qualified leads from the internal sales function.
  • Step 2, you do an extra qualification, including a mini-demonstration.
  • Step 3, you attend a final meeting, with key and new stakeholders, to do a final demonstration and close the deal.
  • The sweet-spot is SMEs up to £100m turnover, and sales user numbers can vary from hundreds to thousands - lots of potential, and even more variety.
