Dying market, is Cyber Security (worth $75 billion in 2015, set to be worth $170bn in 2020 - Forbes).

But that's what happens when your offering is a mere luxury, with no real pain point to address (the average cost of an attack was £2.6m last year, up by 53% on the year before - PwC).

And working for this company is a huge risk (multi £bn turnover powerhouse),

With little strategy (specialist sales role selling into a base of accounts, alongside the account managers. That's right; put the Yellow Pages down).

They're in the middle of nowhere (they've several office across the UK providing full technical and sales support)

And so earning a living here would be tough (six figures is a reality for many in this role),

JOB TITLE: Senior Sales Specialist - IT Security, Cyber Security

LOCATION: Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield, Dudley, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Tamworth, Worcester, Coventry, Northampton, Leicester, Leamington Spa, Warwick, Banbury.

PACKAGE: £40-60k basic, x2 OTE + car allowance


25-50 years.

Turnover: Multi £bn

Core offering: Software as a Service (SaaS), IT Infrastructure, IT Managed and Professional Services.

For this role, the focus will be specifically within the Cyber Security team;

  • Security Solutions; everything from firewall to secure endpoint.
  • Security Infrastructure
  • Security managed services and consultancy; everything from threat monitoring to ethical hacking/penetrant testing.


  • There is full training and 'on-boarding' with the role
  • Proven expertise in selling IT and Cyber Security software, infrastructure and/or services (professional or managed) is a must
  • Ability to build relationships internally and externally is essential
  • A strategic thinker who can unearth pain points and take customers on a journey of change, rather than selling against a product list
  • Energetic, positive, team player - someone who will thrive in a vibrant and inclusive culture where success is celebrated and rewarded


As the Senior Security Sales Specialist, your role will be to work alongside Account Managers within the existing base of clients, helping them to realise and achieve effective cyber security strategies.

Taking a new business mindset with existing customers, your primary focus will be to use your skills in finding pain points and positing the enviable portfolio of resource and solutions that this global giant has to offer.

No cold calls. No transactional deals. Lots of scope for complex, exciting conversations and the platform to use your skills in the industry to get rewarded and really build a career.
