Our client is manufacturing and distribution business supplying niche metallic products into a wide variety of blue chip clients. The company has ambitious growth plans and as such is looking to recruit a Senior Sales Manager to help lead the business with the next phase of its expansion. The role will be instrumental in capitalising on and evolving existing customer relationships as well as developing new markets and accounts. The person will therefore be a natural and experienced relationship builder who relishes spending time with customers on site. The position will be responsible for a team of sales executives and regional managers who will report into the Senior Sales Manager. The leadership qualities of the person will be critical and they will be expected to both inspire the team and lead by example in the development of new accounts. The role will report into the Commercial Director and will be instrumental in the strategic development of the sales plan.
The candidate will need to come from the engineering or manufacturing sectors and have significant experience of technical sales. Experience of aluminium, steel or highly engineered metallic products would be advantageous.
