Who we're looking for
The Data & Analytics community is responsible for transforming our data and analytics capability to enable our colleagues to better serve our members’ needs. Within the community, the Data and Analytics Solutions team is responsible for the design, engineering, test and deployment of our data platforms and solutions which are at the core of our strategic ambitions. We’re significantly expanding and strengthening our inhouse teams and working closely with key strategic partners to deliver our strategic ambitions.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the operations team as a senior data analyst to support member data activities. You will join a small team to drive the migration of data from one platform to another whilst supporting operational activity. Our role is to ensure that the data that we provide to communities across the Society is accurate, high quality and timely. This role will involve supporting the migration of a legacy data mart to a new platform and this will be carried out utilising your SAS skills. This ongoing technical innovation will drive improvements to our data infrastructure.
You will have a wide range of internal customers from across the business, whose decisions depend on the data we provide to them. This means that we are at the forefront of the migration project for member data with continuous change required for our processes to remain agile and relevant.
Experience in working within a data warehouse environment – this could have been gained in any company or business sector – with experience in working within a data warehouse environment preferred.
Experience in working with databases (SAS databases with SAS Base certification preferred but not essential), some understanding of data governance principles and hold a technical or numerate degree.
Experience of stakeholder management along with working with third parties

As part of the Data & Analytics Solutions team, you’ll make sure we provide robust and accurate data to our teams that rely on our Member data for reporting, analytical and operational uses. In addition, our data underpins our member marketing solutions and campaigns whilst supporting modelling, reporting and analytics which make us pivotal to the goals of the Society.
As part of our change management development life-cycle, you’ll work with the team manager to identify and interpret business requirements for changes to our data warehouse. Using SAS, you’ll then create data that is fit for purpose and clearly understood. The data provided will build a detailed understanding about our business allowing its recipients to make informed decisions about the Society’s vision and goals.
Our team is always keen to learn, innovate and challenge each other. As a senior data analyst within the team, you’ll be supporting the team and managers to shape and implement our operational processes in our SAS environment to ensure that we make the most of the tools available. You’ll be responsible for coding to support the changes to our current data processes and reporting, with the aim of adding efficiency standards.
Your work will contribute to the overall aim of the community – removing legacy data marts and systems to create one trusted source of information for the business.
