They have created the largest database of infrastructure investment data in the world and the technology allowing advanced risk-adjusted performance measurements. The platform gives its users access to dozens of metrics for broad market indices, sub-indices and custom benchmarks. It also gives access to asset level historical and forecast data for hundreds of individual infrastructure investments.

Senior Business Development Manager - Financial Data

The Role

You will be responsible for input into the development of the global business plan and the execution of the commercial aspects of this plan in terms of new customer acquisition. The role involves the identification of opportunities with new clients, the prioritisation of prospects and proactive outreach.

Impact

Accountable for the revenue growth objectives with respect to the business plan. You will be able to lead from the front and directly impact the future growth of the business.

This is a key position to develop a commercial practice and eventually create and lead a business development team. Essential Responsibilities

  • Manage the sales cycle end-to-end; including lead generation, qualification, commercial negotiations and post sales customer care and inquiries for new client relationships to ensure target financial goals are achieved.
  • Promote and insightfully sell appropriate product/service solutions and cultivate referrals from new customers.
  • Utilise and maintain Salesforce data to monitor pipeline and leads status for goal management.
  • Manage complex negotiations of commercial and contractual deals for new opportunities, and involve Head of Business Development as necessary.
  • Oversee transfer of relationship to Relationship Managers or the Account Management team (based on account category) once the client account has been integrated in to the firm.
  • Identify key decision makers and influencers with target prospects and execute business development strategy.

  • Monitor pipeline on a proactive basis and schedule pipeline reviews with the Director of the organisation on monthly and quarterly basis.

Profile

Senior Business Development Manager - Financial Data

Requirements

It is expected that you will have solid business development track record, with solution selling experience, as well as a deep understanding of the infrastructure finance and investment sector and good knowledge of capital markets and the asset management industry overall.

Qualifications

  • Broad based knowledge of Infrastructure Investment and Asset Management overall
  • 5+ years of successful track record in direct business development role. Demonstrated strength in insight selling skills, strength in effective influencing, negotiation, interpersonal and communication
  • Strong public speaking skills and the ability to deal with people at all levels with an organisation.
  • A highly motivated self-starter; ability to work independently and creatively as well as within a team
  • Excellent networking skills are required in order to obtain market information necessary to anticipate customer needs and interpret the trends that are evolving in the infrastructure investment sector.
  • Experience recruiting and building a business development team
  • CFA Qualification would be beneficial though not essential

Job Offer

A basic salary of £80,000 - £100,000 plus an excellent commission scheme.
