DESCRIPTION

Do you have experience developing & managing programs for customers & partners in the cloud? Are you interested in incubating a new business within Amazon Web Services (AWS)? We are looking for builders who thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy coming up with better ways to help customers, at scale.

AWS Marketplace (-******) and AWS Data Exchange (-******) help customers to securely find, subscribe to, and use software & data products in the cloud. We bring Amazon's e-commerce expertise to cloud software and fundamentally change how customers discover and use software and data in the cloud. We build together with forward-thinking ISVs, Consulting Partners, System Integrators and Software Resellers to make them part of this change.

Our EMEA team is growing and hiring a Business Development Manager to design and run programs that will impact our customers and our partner ecosystem at scale. The role is based out of London, with flexibility to work from another AWS office location in EMEA (ie Paris, Berlin, Munich, ...). You will be expected to partner with teams across EMEA virtually or with up to 50% travel (conditional to country travel policies).

Responsibilities:
· Work with AWS teams including AWS Sales, AWS Partner Network, AWS Solution Architecture and Business Development to drive AWS Marketplace customer adoption in the scaling segments (Mid-market, Start-ups, SMB)
· Become the trusted advisor of a strategic set of customers within the scaling segments, to support them in adopting AWS Marketplace platform. Collect and transform their feedback into recommendations to improve our products & processes.
· Oversee & run AWS Marketplace commercial programs to increase the penetration of AWS Marketplace in EMEA
· Contribute to the to EMEA AWS Marketplace strategy with recommendations and analysis.
· Partner with key ISVs & Partners in your market segments to drive joint commercial programs.
· Manage a set of key AWS stakeholders & a communications cadence.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications
What you will need to feel at your element:
· 8+ years of experience in relevant roles within the Cloud, IT, software industries. Roles may include: Program manager, Sales/Business Development Manager, Business Consultant, Analyst or Data Scientist, Partner Strategy manager, Alliances manager.
· Bachelor’s Degree.
· Either education or professional experience in technology (scholar of a technical domain or professional experience as a technical advisor).
· Experience in stakeholder management and more specifically: analysis, strong communications & presentation skills, advanced business English (whether native or acquired), track record on influencing decision making outside their immediate organization.
· Strong experience in working autonomously, in complex organizations or partner networks. Strong prioritization skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications
What you will need to thrive:
· Fluent or native in additional European languages.
· Master’s Degree, MBA or other advanced post-graduate degree.
· Experience driving programs, policy or strategy for Start-ups and SMBs (large tech organizations, founder roles, incubators, investor firms, government agencies at country or EU level.
· Previous experience working at regional level (EMEA wide responsibility or clusters of EMEA markets).
· Specific experience in influencing product development (ie prototyping) and marketing strategy
· Strong understanding of software supply chains & licensing models, acquired by working for or partnering with ISVs, Consulting Partners, System Integrators, Global consultancies or with/in a Cloud Center of Excellence.
