DESCRIPTION

Join a team of cloud experts focused on uncovering and articulating advantages for AWS Customers!
As a Cloud Intelligence BDM - Field, you will be a strategic partner to the AWS field sales team, aligned to the EMEA field sales organization. You will help customers understand why AWS is the best cloud partner for their business. You will teach and evangelize differentiation concepts with AWS field sales teams, customers, and with cross-functional marketing, enablement, and product teams. As a strategic partner to sales and external customers, you will identify emerging signals and best practices, to serve the broader organization.

This position blends business and technology skillsets. Cloud Intelligence Field BDMs drive complex engagements and interact with executive audiences. They also have technical ability that enables them to understand AWS and competitor products. Candidates must have the capability to craft and convey compelling value propositions, and to communicate concepts and stories effectively.
We are looking for experience in one or more of the following: market or competitive intelligence, business value engineering, sales enablement, and customer-facing technology sales experience. The ability to successfully differentiate cloud services in competitive market segments is key.

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Be the go-to resource for the AWS EMEA field sales segment and sales management
• Leverage excellent communication skills to articulate the business value of AWS value propositions, working backwards from our customers strategic priorities.
• Demonstrate the ability to earn trust with and influence C-level executives in customer organizations and within AWS.
• Support, coach, and develop large deal closing capability. Develop scalable competitive strategies to enable winning key strategic deals.
• Develop and share cloud adoption trends and blockers across the cloud ecosystem.
• Enable and upskill field teams through development of field-friendly content, and delivery of trainings.
• Track signals and identify opportunities, in order to provide Cloud Intelligence with insight to improve offerings.
• Influence internal stakeholders on market realities, with the goal to further differentiate AWS’s value.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• BA/BS degree or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience driving large initiatives involving enterprise technology.
• Understanding of computing concepts in general and/or AWS specific technologies, platforms and solutions.
• Ability to show customer focus, ownership, urgency and drive.
• Self-starter with proven problem solving skills and ability to manage ambiguity.
• Demonstrable ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years sales or pre-sales experience with cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure), or cloud-native SaaS solutions (Snowflake, Databricks, CrowdStrike, etc).
• Technical Certifications (AWS and other cloud platforms).
• 3+ years experience developing content and solution selling to scale across thousands of stakeholders (sales teams, partners, or customers).
