Our data platform processes massive data sets to develop business intelligence and analytics that are critical for the efficiency and profitability of our advertising business.

The Amazon Publisher Services team helps build industry-leading solutions for publishers and is in an exciting period of growth expanding its services in to new territories across the globe. We are seeking a business development project owner to lead the launch of international expansion markets. In this role, you will have the opportunity to join Amazon’s quickly growing advertising business, own the launch plan for a number of new territories, and help drive strategy and adoption of our industry-leading publisher solutions.

Responsibilities

· Manage all phases of launch activity progressing a new territory from concept stage to official launch.
· Oversee all activities relating to infrastructure in a new country, from baselining publisher product requirements to legal reviews and reviewing billing requirements / capabilities.
· Employ consultative, long-term approach and build productive cross functional relationships with Amazon teams to work on launch deliverables, including key partnerships with product, legal, marketing, finance and sales teams.
· Work closely with the wider publisher development team to identify and plan onboarding new publisher supply.
· Successfully launch new publisher products into new territories in line with the agreed International Expansion roadmap.
· Innovate, develop, and iterate on processes based on real project experience.
· Translate market feedback into product requirements, and collect market intelligence to help guide the overall direction of the program.
· Investigate and work directly with engineers to help them troubleshoot customer issues.
· Analyze performance data and provide data-driven insights to improve our advertising programs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Proven work experience in online advertising in business development/client services, advertising operations, or yield/revenue management roles.
· Experience leading projects or partnerships within a publisher or advertiser environment.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business or other related fields.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Proven experience of driving cross functional projects.
· Experience managing publishers and deep understanding of publisher challenges.
· Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, being comfortable with pulling reports, diving deep into the data and analyzing trends.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to effectively communicate across a broad range of technical and non-technical people.
· Experience diagnosing and resolving technical issues with Product Management and Engineering.
· Customer-driven product thinking and ability to identify and prioritize product requests.
· Team player with strong persuasion skills.
· Knowledge of programmatic advertising space, header bidding, publisher products and SSPs.
· Proactive attitude with excellent project management, organizational, and analytical skills.
