To grow the company footprint and profile in the East of England - Ipswich / Cambridge and surrounding. Core service areas being data management & analytics, cloud migration, digital transformation and managed services. Must be able to generate own leads.

Client Details

My client are an established company in the software development, cloud, and digital transformation space.


  • Sales target achievement (£GP) on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • CRM accuracy, particularly in terms of fields for opportunity value, sales stage, close date, next action to close etc. Furthermore, to gather and record as much customer/prospective customer intelligence as possible including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Creation and delivery of a Strategic Plan for the role together with detailed actions and clear objectives set out over the first 3, 6 and 12 months in post.
  • Proactively supporting the objectives of the Sales and Marketing Director and playing a key role in helping her to grow the business revenue and profit performance - her number 2
  • Senior level sales oversight and support to junior members of the team in the absence of the Sales and Marketing Director
  • Attending marketing events as an ambassador
  • Driving sales initiatives and campaigns
  • Supporting the company's marketing activity to increase its footprint within its chosen markets
  • Lead generation (with support from sales support colleagues), creating and closing sales opportunities; attendance at sales meetings
  • Reporting personal sales performance on a weekly basis to Director
  • High quality bid and proposal development with support from sales support colleagues


  • 7 to 10 years + plus face to face B2B sales experience within a relevant, technically led market
  • Proven track record to meeting sales targets and delivering on KPIs
  • Proven ability to self-manage and organise activity according to strategic and commercial objectives
  • Proven ability to create sales leads, qualify these, arrange stakeholder / decision maker meetings and close deals
  • Professionally trained sales person - must be able to demonstrate robust solution sales process, including bid management
  • Demonstrable ability to manage their own time, set priorities and achieve impressive sales growth
  • Familiarity with a CRM based system and experience of scheduling sales activity and recording such activity accurately and effectively
  • High levels of numerical literacy together with first class written and verbal communication skills
  • Exposure to public sector bid writing, as well as private sector tenders
  • Ability to engage internal and external stakeholders, and create robust and highly effective professional relationships / partnerships
  • Able to operate under pressure and do so whilst maintaining a "can-do "attitude
  • Highly motivated and results orientated team player with drive, professional polish and ambition able to inspire others and gain buy-in to their objectives in addition to supporting the goals and objectives of others
