We have a new exciting opportunity for a SIL Direct Business Development Consultant to join our growing team in Glasgow.

The role involves the origination and marketing of Santander Corporate and Commercial Bank's (SCCB) International Products & Services to companies, through the support of the relationship teams in the region's Corporate Banking Centres & Branches.

As a SIL Direct Business Development Consultant your main responsibilities will be

* Supporting SIL agenda for the SBB Division and the delivery of connectivity programme for SCCB via provision of vanilla International products to SME & mid-market companies

* Originating SME International client relationships and managing the relationship with existing customers, extending the width and depth of their relationship with the bank and working with teams and partners to find solutions to client requests

* Supporting the regional SME teams & regional International Director to promote the strategic International proposition with internal and external delivery

* Leading on SIL connectivity programme in SBB & continually look for new ways to progress our connectivity agenda

* Working closely with country specialists to support connectivity agendas through VTM’s, TM’s, Meet the Buyer, Webinars & other key initiatives

* Identifying potential regional strategic partners, developing opportunity for SIL specific activity and analysing regional markets to spot prospecting opportunities

Minimum skills and experience required

* A good understanding of international products

* Previous demonstrable experience of successfully creating and developing relationships with tangible results

* Able to assess customers’ requirements quickly and efficiently, give guidance and build, develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers

* Strong communication skills, both written & oral to effectively develop presentations and articulate solutions

* Excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills

* Language skills desirable but not essential

* Fully proficient in Microsoft suite including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
