Client Details

My client is a leading multi-channel, high service distributor supporting millions of engineers and purchasing professionals globally. My client operates in 36 countries and trades in over 100, with over 4,500 employees servicing their world-wide customer base. Their products range from electronic components to industrial products from over 3,500 leading suppliers.


As a key member of the European sales function reporting to the Outbound Sales Manager you will be responsible for effectively managing, coaching and developing a team of 12 internal sales executives to achieve sales targets and other department performance KPIs.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in managing an internal sales team effectively delivering service and sales campaigns when needed and motivating others. In addition, you will have experience in managing and ensuring service levels are maintained effectively with available resources and through interpreting and using forecasting tools and data.

This is a role where you can make a difference within the team, from managing your team's performance to owning the entire employment process. There is lots of fun and training to be part of along the way!

The successful candidate will:

  • Manage the performance of team members through regular one-to-one's and coaching on maximising sales opportunities through developing new business and growing existing accounts - Call monitoring to ensure that call standards are maintained; identifying coaching and development opportunities
  • Generate leads, developing new customer relationships, effective execution of sales campaigns, managing accounts identifying sales opportunities and closing business.
  • Liaise with Field Sales management as required to ensure cooperation between internal and external sales teams to achieve sales growth across UK/Ireland territories
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop effective sales and marketing campaigns, managing execution through effective communication to the team and reporting on campaign success
  • Liaise with internal and external departments to resolve escalated customer issues or service problems
  • Monitor time and attendance; effectively managing absence by conducting Return to Work Interviews and Counselling sessions with team members
  • Select, induction and retention of team members


The successful candidate must have:

  • Previous experience of managing a team within an internal sales environment

  • Great communicator, Social intelligence, competitiveness, winning mentality - drives for results

  • Significant experience of achieving sales targets ideally in a B2B sales outbound contact centre

  • Analytical ability with the skill to implement process improvement

  • Ability to plan and prioritise a demanding workload using available resources.

  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and resiliency

  • Ability to think creatively in order to motivate through campaign initiatives

  • Strong commercial and business acumen with the ability to challenge
