Sales Support Coordinator - South Shields

Job Summary:

Full time/permanent

Responsible to Sales Support Manager - UK & Ireland

Overall purpose of the role:

To provide a full sales support service to the UK & Ireland Sales team and the customers on their account base. The goal is to ensure timely delivery of UK & Ireland wholesale orders, assist in achieving incremental sales while providing world class customer service in line with objectives and the Barbour values.

Key Activities:

* Process sales orders, telephone enquiries and correspondence within specified time limits (KPI’s)
* Provide customers and UK and Ireland Sales Team with regular sales order analysis and order fulfilment guides
* Help achieve the sales budget by maintaining order book to be accurate and timely in respect of allocations and completed deliveries
* Complete regular analysis of seasonal forward orders to ensure the orders are on course to be delivered and ensure collections of products are fairly represented and orders are not duplicated.
* Have regular telephone contact with designated customers to build strong relationships and assist the UK & Ire sales team with achieving incremental sales.
* Liaise with and develop positive relationships with key internal departments, strive to improve communications around the business
* Develop relationships with account managers, agents & customers in order to better understand their businesses and provide world class customer service
* Provide direct sales support to the field based UK & Ireland sales teams as required
* Provide a courteous, appropriate response to all customers who may have an enquiry and be able to resolve it quickly & satisfactorily, within agreed timescales
* To assist in the Administrative activities required to run the office efficiently ensuring maintenance of office documents and provide reception cover in the event of high volume of calls or absence

Skills and Experience:

* Good standard of education (Grades B/C)
* Experience of sales/ customer service environment
* Good IT skills including use of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word), Internet and Sales Office Software
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build strong relationships both internally and externally and liaise with customers
* Exceptional customer services skills with the ability to resolve complaints quickly with empathy
* Effective administration skills including data input and filing
* Pro-active planning/ time management skills to enable effective prioritisation of workload
* Able to make appropriate decisions using own initiative yet able to contribute to a harmonious team
* Enthusiastic, positive persona with an approachable manner
* Ability to build a rapport with customers over the phone and use of appropriate tone
* Ability to work under pressure, within closely managed targets and deadlines
* Flexible attitude and approach to workload in the department and reception
