The details:

The Sales Planner role is a great step in to the fast-paced Hearst commercial team, and will support advertising operations and client service efforts for Hearst UK’s many magazine web businesses such as ELLE, Cosmopolitan, Esquire and Good Housekeeping.

The role is aligned to the commercial team, managing a group of accounts and working closely with sales, account management, yield and finance. It will include pulling together whatever is needed to satisfy an advertiser’s request for information, ad specifications, reporting and benchmarks

You will need to be an organised, fast-working, and detail-oriented professional with a collaborative attitude who would like to learn and grow in this business.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Input digital orders into Nexus, our order management system, paying great attention to detail and looking for consistent input at all times

• Work with relevant sales, marketing or AM stakeholders to troubleshoot

• Aggregate and organize advertiser reports for presentation

• Aggregate and organize advertiser performance data for internal collection and benchmarking

• Actively participate in the campaign management process as required, which could include entering orders, ad testing, campaign setup, reporting and optimization

• Update internal operational and product documentation as needed, including administering updates in an internal web-based ad resource centre

• Collaborate and communicate with stakeholders from ad operations to understand where assistance is needed

• Maintain active knowledge of the competitive landscape, market innovations, new industry guidelines, and developments in the ad tech industry

• Uphold business rules and be well-versed in rate card compliance

The Person

• Demonstrable expertise using Excel, organizing and presenting data

• Keen to improve processes and learn best practice

• An effective communicator

• Ability to distil complex information into a coherent narrative

• Ability to balance competing priorities and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to read and edit HTML a plus

• Flexible, personable, and solutions oriented attitude

• Desire to build a career in digital media and/or advertising
