Sales Manager – £20k basic (OTE £40k-£45k min) – Heathrow, London

The Role

Middlesex Marble are seeking a self-motivated and proactive Sales Manager to promote and sell stone surfaces both commercially and privately. The successful applicant will have a positive mindset towards their work; as a small business, we require everyone to help each other and work as a team. In return, we offer a strong salary, which is increased through sales-related bonus on all new works brought in and ongoing works with new clients.

The role is largely down to how you present yourself and represent the company. Your job will be to ensure new and repeat business from a number of clients. Self-motivation in this role is key, as you will be managing your own workload. The key responsibilities of a Sales Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Chasing up leads from enquiries using several mediums (face-to-face, telephone, email etc.) and prioritising them as such
  • Liaising with office and factory staff for delivery and lead times to help support the customer’s service
  • Managing client expectations and dealing with any required support to clients
  • Understanding drawings to see where our products are required for pricing
  • Performing general administration tasks to liaise with accounts and office data
  • Any other task as reasonably required from you such as using social media to promote the business.

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Sales Manager:

  • Experience in a similar role with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, able to meet and greet new clients at our show room office and to close deals quickly and effectively
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, and can multitask and prioritise own workload efficiently and with ease
  • Ability to learn new materials and gain a knowledge of the different materials we work with, as well as learning our IT systems
  • Possesses a positive and professional approach to going out and meeting new clients
  • Any previous kitchen, joiner sales or work top sales would be advantageous
