My client is a paint company in the UK, with international ownership, whom has been in the sector for more than 30 years. The company is a market leader in spray paints in its home market and would like to further extend its presence in the UK.

My client is offering the opportunity to join their UK team; to promote their brand and win new contracts working with distributors, merchants and wholesalers within the pain industry

Their aim is to be one of the three largest producers of paint in Europe. My client, always aims to offer the best quality for the best prices, believing that it needs to increase its efficiency in accordance with its target.

They possess the latest technological equipment and expert staff, which aims to maintain the highest level of service, quality and customer satisfaction.

My client keeps a watchful eye on the changing needs of the market. To this end, they work continuously in the field of R&D, follow the latest developments in the sector in Europe, and in the world, and aspires to produce new products and systems aiming at exceeding international product quality. Possessing 260 different types of products, they owe their success on the new product development to the awareness that innovation lies in the centre of economic growth.

In line with this, my client is looking for a highly motivated Sales Manager to join the team and hit the ground running.


The key responsibilities of the Sales Manager are:

  • Build up long term relationships with new clients and developing account plans, in order to generate new business leads
  • Maintain regular contact with clients in order to identify new business opportunities, customers' needs and recommend products in line with your technical knowledge of my clients products
  • Work with related departments to manage customer accounts
  • Act as a bran ambassador and be able to address all product and technical questions from clients.
  • Conduct regular client visits in order to effectively represent the brand and provide excellent service to clients.
  • Negotiating new sales contracts and closing sales effectively.


The ideal candidate:

  • Will have a background in the sale of paint products and have demonstrable technical knowledge.
  • At least 4-5 years experience in the sale of paint products into wholesalers, distributors and builders' merchants, with a client list that could be immediately taken advantage of
  • Proven history of exceptional relationship building
  • Excellent communication skills in relation to a diverse customer base
  • Enthusiastic with the ability to adapt to changing circumstance and personalities
  • Ability to analyse territory performance reports and develop sales territory business plans
  • Ability to effectively problem solve, collect data and draw valid conclusions to all and any client issues
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and various internet applications
  • This position requires a high energy individual, who is customer oriented and self motivated.
