Sales Manager – Competitive Salary – Central London

The Role

This world leading independent arts charity is looking for an ambitious Sales Manager to join their successful team. Reporting into the Head of Sales, the incoming Sales Manager is personally responsible for generating revenue in excess of £1 million through selling the renowned venue to external clients.

The Sales Manager will generate revenue through venue hire, significant in-house food and beverage sales, in-house technical sales and supplier commissions. You will be tasked with contracting significant contracts and working closely with the Event Manager who will deliver these events based on the details confirmed with your clients. The ability to multi-task is essential, as this exciting role will need you to maintain sales targets while working on numerous projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the lead sales person within the Events Tam, and generate significant revenue through room hire, in-house food & beverage, AV facilities and commissions 
  • Respond to clients’ enquiries, qualifying leads and progressing clients through the sales pipeline, conducting site visits and meetings to contract stage
  • Develop key client accounts and generate a repeat client percentage in line with targets set
  • To be able to match clients’ needs in creative ways that exceed their expectations

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Sales Manager:

  • 3 years’ sales experience in the Events Industry
  • Experience working in a venue or in a caterer would be a significant advantage
  • A proven track record in the delivery of sales targets
  • Passion for the Events Industry and an enthusiastic approach is a must
  • A relevant degree and knowledge of salesforce would be advantageous
