This is an opportunity to join a young technology start-up based on the University of Southampton Science Park in Chilworth. They are a small team servicing a fast-growing network of clients around the UK. Their office is a fast-paced, flexible environment that nurtures a willingness to embrace significant responsibility and bring creative problem-solving to the table.

As a digital signage solutions provider, their business is about attention and communication. They sell software that lets users design and display multi-media content onto digital screens. Their platform is used across a wide variety of industries including corporate, education, retail and healthcare. Recent customer acquisition includes the likes of British Airways.

Job Summary

They are looking to hire a full-time Sales Executive who will be in charge of nurturing prospects in the pipeline and generating new leads. This is a unique opportunity for someone to be a key player influencing the growth of an exciting start-up. The position is suited for someone with 1-3 years' experience in sales, ideally with a SAAS or technology background.

They are looking for an ambitious, business-minded individual that is target-driven to achieve success. They must be highly personable and fit in well with the small team. Prior experience in telesales, with demonstrable results, would be welcomed although the role would also entail in-person meetings and potentially attendance at customer-facing sales events.

Responsibilities & Duties

- To nurture and close prospects in their sales pipeline that have been generated through outbound and inbound channels such as paid advertising. This can be small businesses to global PLC's.
- To generate new leads through sales calls to targeted industries and prospects.
- To attend meetings in person where geographically appropriate, whether with existing customers or high-value potential prospects.
- To create monthly sales reports that inform future strategy and targets.
- To supervise more junior team members, providing sales training and guidance.

Qualifications & Skills

- Demonstrable sales experience and business acumen are required.
- Clear and confident communication skills will also be crucial.
- A willingness to get on the phone and attend meetings is needed.
- Interest and practical competency in technology would be beneficial.
- A university degree is desired but not essential for the right candidate.


A base salary awarded based on experience between the range of £22,000 and £27,000. This will be supplemented with an uncapped performance-based commission, paid in monthly bonuses. Based on other employees, an OTE of £32,000 would be realistic.
