Job Overview

Media Sales is a dynamic and competitive industry sector and the role of a Sales Executive is the foundation stones to achieving our revenue targets. Aspiring to be the best and achieving the targeted revenues set with you is vital to our future success in the markets that we serve. This is primarily a telephone based sales role selling advertising solutions across our portfolio of magazines, websites and events.

Department Overview

* You will be part of a fast paced dynamic team

* Team work is essential but the ability to work as an individual will be key

* This role will be based in Bath where 6 sectors operate Technology, Games, Photography, Film, Creative & Design and Music Making

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

* Generating revenue from an existing client base and ensuring we are getting the lion share of that revenue

* Sourcing leads to activate new business across the portfolio

* Maximise the client base in terms of revenues, yields, volumes and forward bookings/series advertising and appropriate advertising initiatives. Doing this to the targets set and taking a proactive stance to grow and develop commercial opportunities within your market with direction from your Line Manager

* To gain an understanding of: your market, competitors, your publications, sales processes in particular transactional selling, administration procedures

* Working and adhering to strict deadlines

* You will need to work closely with editorial, marketing, and other areas of the business. By doing this it gives you the opportunity to create sales plans to grow your client base

* Represent Future to the highest standards of professionalism and efficiency to all clients and customers and adhere to policies, procedures and values of Future Publishing

* Flexibility will be required


You will be supported in your role by the Advertising Sales Director who will ensure that you receive:

* Weekly 1-2-1’s

* Regular feedback on your performance highlighting areas of strength and opportunities to grow and develop

* Day to day support in your role through team members and your line manager

* Coaching and mentoring.

* Team buddy

* Weekly Team Meetings

* Compulsory 2 Day away Induction programme
