Sales Executive – Competitive Salary – Hertfordshire

The Role

Sapphire Inspection Systems are looking for a bright, ambitious and driven Sales Executive to take ownership of an exciting new role within our organisation. You will utilise your communication and sales skills by acting as the front line for Sapphire’s incoming sales enquiries, generating customer quotes and following up outstanding sales leads, as well as participating in extended business opportunities such as commercial planning, pricing and marketing strategy planning.

Working independently, you’ll manage the administration of Sapphire’s sales, helping the Commercial Head to shape business processes and procedures. A background with a technology or manufacturing company would be useful but is not essential. This is an exciting time to join an ambitious company experiencing rapid growth in the industry.

The key responsibilities of a Sales Executive include, but are not limited to:

  • Being the first point of contact for incoming enquiries, representing the Company in the early stage of their customer relationships
  • Managing the administration of the commercial channels, business flow and documentation associated with product sales, using Sapphire’s data and project management processes
  • Liaising with different teams to confirm appropriate solutions and generate customer quotes
  • Maintaining contact with prospective customers and sales, regularly contacting recent enquiries to ensure the Company converts all potential business into a sale.

The key skills and qualities of a Sales Executive:

  • Experience within a sales team from a similar background with 2-5 years’ experience is ideal
  • Comfortable creating order within a busy multi-team organisation and a natural leader
  • Ability to work alone as well as alongside teams; this role will be a supported role but a standalone role initially
  • Communicating effectively with different stakeholders and international teams and customers, understanding their needs and managing various expectations
  • Possesses a proactive nature that seeks out solutions and offers opportunities for new thinking within existing processes
