My client is an industry leader in global commodities. They have developed a software information platform which will cause a seismic shift in the way their clients can facilitate decision making. They're looking for an exceptional Sales Executive to be the second person globally to take this to their clients.

Client Details

A key player in the global logistics and commodity space, they have a rich history of delivering brokerage, financial, maintenance and research for the shipping industry. Through quality of delivery for over 150 years they have built trust with a diverse set of clients around the globe.

Operating from their East London HQ, they have continued to push the boundaries for what's expected from them. They have been creating a new software which will allow all of their clients to make decisions in a fraction of the time, truly turning the industry on it's head. In their market, this will create a gulf between the "haves" and the "have nots".

The office is a vibrant scene, where employees share ideas and are continually exceeding what their clients expect of them. Culture is key for them; they breed the best and are retain them, through development and taking care of them with stocked canteens and regular social opportunities.


As Sales Executive, you will be a hunter but not in the traditional sense - you won't need to make a cold call. You will leverage their extensive network to create meetings with senior decision makers. Once secured, you will introduce them to product and educate them on the need for the software.

This is not a technical position; you will need to develop need through addressing the client's pain points against their competition.

Cycles can be from 1 week through to several months, with values going into the millions. Once completed, you will be responsible for managing the account and driving increased revenue through platform traffic.

Whilst client facing you will collate their thoughts on the software and ensure the solution remains at the cutting edge through refinement and development. To do this you'll need to work closely across the business.


My client expects the successful Sales Executive candidate to exhibit the following:

  • Proven track record in selling a technology product into senior decision makers.
  • The gravitas to manage a room of clients and maintain their attention.
  • Passion for global trade and how this solution can influence it.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit towards getting a job done.
