Job Title: Sales & Estimating Manager – Doors & Doorsets

Industry Sector: Estimator, Estimating, Sales & Estimating Manager, CAD Drawings, Quotations, Cubicles, Doors, High Performance Doors, Fire Rate Doors, Doors, Commercial Doors

Based: commutable to West Yorkshire

Remuneration: £30,000 - £40,000

The role of the Sales & Estimating Manager – Doors & Doorsets will involve:

  • Sales & estimating position focusing on a high quality bespoke manufactured range of high performance door systems
  • Estimating in support of bids and proposals to be prepared by our client’s sales team who provide the design, supply and installation 
  • Focusing on commercial projects only, mainly in the education, and leisure
  • May have man-management responsibility depending on your experience
  • Responding to sales enquiries by producing accurate cost estimates of materials and labour required
  • Preparation and issuing of formal quotations to customers
  • Following up on quotes with customers
  • Will have some new business / sales responsibility selling to architects, main contractors, fit-out contractors, joinery contractors and end users
  • Regularly liaising with the sales and technical departments to ensure customers’ needs are meet
  • Prioritise own workload to ensure customers deadlines are met
  • Provide costing support to projects team on successful bids

The ideal applicant will be an Sales & Estimating Manager – Doors & Doorsets with:

  • Must be an experienced estimator working within the commercial doors sector
  • Ideally have some sales experience
  • Ideally dealt with architects, contractors and end users
  • Support with CPD seminar occasionally
  • Proven track record in estimating and ability to read CAD drawings
  • Ability to manage all elements of estimating and quoting to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Must be commercial astute
  • Attention to detail
  • Robust, positive outlook and team player (able to cope well under pressure)
