Job Title: Sales Engineer – Noise Control Equipment

Industry Sector:  Hard Acoustics, Noise Control, Louvres, Brise Soleil, Panels, Enclosures, Attenuators (for ductwork), Building Services, M&E Contractors, Mechanical Services Contractors, Main Contractors, Chiller Manufactures, other Equipment Manufactures (OEM), M&E Consultants and end users

Area to be covered: National – based South

Remuneration: £40,000- £50,000 Neg. + £4,000-£8,000 Company Profit Related Bonus

Benefits: Car or Car Allowance + full benefits package

The role of the Sales Engineer – Noise Control Equipment will involve:

  • Technical project led field sales position,
  • National role, but you will spend the majority of your time in the South
  • New business development position
  • 70% selling the design (drawings) and manufacture of our clients range of noise control and louvre projects
  • 30% Project management
  • Promoting the supply and install of acoustic screens and panels, attenuators (for ductwork), acoustic louvres, turnkey projects and acoustic doors
  • Typically you will spend 60% of your time targeting mechanical services contractors, 25% equipment manufacturers (chiller / cooling tower manufactures and other OEM’s), 10% mechanical services consultants and the remainder  of your time with end users such as the NHS
  • Our client is also looking to expand its reach within the extruded architectural louvres and Brise Soleil marketplace
  • Typically this market is 90% main contractor orientated, 10% smaller M&E contractors
  • Tasked with achieving circa £450,000-£500,000
  • Dealing with projects typically from £20,000-£30,000 (can be much larger)
  • You will be expected to utilize your existing relationships within existing mechanical services contractors, M&E contractors / mechanical contractors and M&E consultants

The ideal applicant will be a Sales Engineer – Noise Control Equipment experience with:

·        Must have sold commercial noise control equipment

·        Knowledge of ventilation, louvres or acoustic products may be advantageous

·        Technically minded with a proven field sales track record

·        Aspirations to grow into a Director level role in the future

·        Comfortable with a design led technical offering

·        Ability to project manage

·        New business hunter, with contacts within M&E contractors and / or mechanical contractors

·        Previous field sales experience with main contractors, mechanical services consultants and OEM’s may be advantageous

·        Energetic, intelligent and commercially aware
