Sales Engineer, Components into Automotive, Midlands and South. £35,000 Basic, £50,000 OTE + Car + Benefits. Based on meeting KPIs the basic salary will rise to £40K in the second year and the OTE to £60K
This is a largely Business Development role with a well-established manufacturer of a wide range of plastic components sold to Original Equipment Manufacturers and the tiered suppliers into the automotive OEMs. The product range is huge, and the role requires someone with an understanding of how the automotive industry operates and procures products.
The role requires an ambitious, likeable and gregarious sales professional with the ability to get on with absolutely everyone and anyone!
With excellent marketing support and innovative products this manufacturer has a solid reputation for high-quality products at the premium end yet, they are priced only slightly above the cost of far eastern alternatives.
The role is getting components specified and managing the rolling contract to supply. Typically you will be selling to design engineers and buyers. Occasionally the sale can be technical so an ability to read drawings, or perhaps having come through an engineering apprenticeship, could be useful.
