Their highly advanced products has the ability to save lives and improve healthcare by providing cooling equipment to countries with unreliable power supplies. They work with humanitarian agencies across the world to keep crucial vaccinations cold in most needed countries and improve living conditions keeping basic food and drinks chilled.

Description

This Sales Director - Medical position will be a key appointment to design and deliver the commercial sales strategy for the business, building and maintaining relationships at senior levels in all key markets and channels. The main responsibilities;

  • Strategically deliver sales growth and achieve sales targets through client relationships and motivational leadership
  • Identify and open new relevant markets across the world and in the UK; NGO's, Medical, Ministry of Health, through new licences, joint ventures and distribution partners
  • Manage efficiencies and effectiveness in supplier management, supply chain and maximise distributor performance
  • Own the customer experience from start to installation to after sales
  • High level senior stakeholder interaction across different countries and cultures (Africa, Central Asia, Middle East, India)
  • Ownership of the CRM strategy and reports, whilst monitor and analyse performance of commercial objectives
  • Set financial targets, budgets and prepare and present reports to the board
  • Based in the UK with heavy travel overseas

Profile

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes;

  • Must have experience of selling medical appliances (devices) or pharmaceuticals
  • Proven track record of success selling into different markets and countries, in particular Africa, India, Central Asia, Middle East
  • Understanding of working and managing NGO's, Ministries of Health and other medical markets
  • Successful experience gaining entry into new markets and countries, setting up and negotiating contracts with distributors
  • High levels of gravitas to establish and build long term relationships
  • Manage, motivate, lead and develop a sales team
  • Fluent in English, with French being desirable
  • Ability to travel over the world (60%)
  • Head office in the UK
