The Role

We are looking for a Sales Investment Director to join our Global Client Solutions team in London. You will act as an Aviva Investors cross asset class champion working with Aviva UK in a sales team environment. You will raise the ability of Aviva’s sales force(s) to articulate the investment story in front of intermediaries in order to raise the level of asset flow to AI as well as build strong and trusted relationships with Aviva’s Head of and Director of sales management and sales team.

Responsibilities

* Raise the ability of Aviva’s sales force(s) to articulate the investment story in front of intermediaries in order to raise the level of asset flow to Aviva Investors
* Build strong and trusted relationships with Aviva’s Head of and Director of sales management and sales team
* Oversee the delivery of engaging and generic investment training and product content for Aviva UK in a variety of mediums, to increase the effectiveness of the Aviva sales team in an investment environment
* Working face to face within client teams and with Aviva/Aviva Investors clients, especially in National and Network arena. To include presenting at Aviva sales meetings and conferences, client’s conferences and client pitches.
* Work with Aviva and Aviva Investors sales and marketing and product areas to gain support and understanding in improving investment collateral and quality of propositions.
* Agree with Aviva Investors and Aviva UK product priorities (that have financial benefit to both) in conjunction with Head of Third Party Relationships.
* Supporting the strategic aim of both Aviva and Aviva Investors of delivering greater investment flow into Aviva Investors managed solutions (OEICS, UL, Structured products) via Aviva sales team. The embodiment of ‘Winning with Aviva’

Essential

* Proven credible experience in the investment intermediary market or insurance company
* Excellent organisational and collaborative skills
* High level of communication skills with proven ability to drive key messaging for clients, in particular the ability to clearly articulate the Aviva Investors story and vision of our thought leadership agenda
* Previous experience of driving a first class client experience and ability to build key relationships with external clients
* Demonstrate passion and curiosity for the investments industry and general understanding of a wide range of asset classes
* Experience of presenting to clients, understanding their needs and ability to influence at a senior level
* Client focus: experience of presenting to clients, understanding their needs and feeds this back in to Sales team
