37.5 hrs spread across five days - Monday to Sunday
There are shops and stores, and then there are Virgin Media Stores. Not just exciting places to work, they’re perfectly tailored to show off our ultrafast broadband and amazing phone and TV services - and help you make lots of sales too.
You’ll be the first person customers see when they walk in. So it’ll be your job to break the ice, find out what they need, and sell products and services that’ll make their lives richer.
There’ll be products to demo, and people who’ll pop in with technical questions too. Once you’ve completed your five-day training, you’ll know how to work everything, and what to do with the more complicated questions.
It’s all about being the friendly, passionate face in our store - and occasionally outside, if things are quiet and the team wants to spread the good word. It’s worth putting in the effort too, as the bonuses and opportunities for progression are great. After all, 80% of our Store Managers, Team Leaders and Regional Managers started in this very role.
Who we’re looking for
If you’re a real people person with a positive, can-do approach to problem-solving, this could be the role for you. You’ll need:
Demonstrable customer service and communication skills
The willingness to work on a busy shop floor selling products to customers
To be comfortable with technology, as you’ll provide live product demos in store
Familiarity with a target-driven environment
Sales experience would always help, but lots of our best people joined without any.
