Sales & Service Advisor – Retentions & Renewals

Bradley Stoke, South Gloucestershire, North Bristol

£22,000 - basic salary (Potential £28,600 including 30% performance related bonus based upon achievement of KPI’s)

Our Sales Advisors are exactly that and we want you to Join the Club!  

The purpose of this role is to take calls from RAC members, with the aim of gaining or renewing their business by promoting product features and the great benefits of being an RAC member whilst providing an outstanding customer experience. Sometimes people may be expressing their wish to leave, so it’s down to you to quickly and effectively reaffirm all the reasons why they chose RAC to begin with and how they will benefit from remaining with us.

Your contact will guarantee a good outcome for both our members and the RAC.

It takes a lot of rapport building and sometimes objection handling to ensure the right outcome for the customer and the business, so to be successful in this role you need to be:

  • Consistently positive, resilient and engaging  
  • Empathetic and able to build rapport quickly
  • Determined to continuously deliver and succeed
  • Level headed with a mature mind set
  • Enthusiastic, with energy and drive

RAC offer a first class, comprehensive training programme with a dedicated Training team, Managers and Coaches all working together to enhance your skills and behaviours to ensure you become a successful Sales Advisor.

Great candidates for this role will demonstrate the following:

  • Experience in customer service / sales - either within or outside of the contact centre environment including retail
  • A proven track record of achieving performance KPI’s
  • Feeling comfortable with objection handling
  • Outgoing, tenacious, positive and self-motivated
  • Ability to understand constraints of selling within a regulated environment
  • Excellent rapport building skills
  • PC literate, with good numeracy and literacy skills
