Reporting to General Manager - Global Sales & Marketing and responsible for $50 to $200 million in annual sales revenue this company are seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager. The role is home office based with frequent requirements to travel internationally.

Essential Functions
- Define preferred market and customer targets, develops and maintains strong multi-level (buyer to senior management) and multi-functional (supply chain, operations, planning, technical, etc.).
- Development and Management of multi-level Customer Relationships, to assure effective implementation of Company sales and product strategies.
- Negotiation of sales Contracts, including commercial terms within budget and negotiating parameters.
- Development and communication of in-depth market intelligence (industry and customer trends, supply chains, competition) and uses it to profitably expand sales.
- Management of distributors providing volume and pricing direction as well as marketing and strategic reviews.
- Manages customer forecasting process and communicated to company planners.
- Prepare training, manuals, instructions and other documents for handover accurate forecasts to support effective budgeting and supply chain planning, via SAP.
- Management of holistic sales process with Company cross functional teams as required. (e.g., customer service, credit, planning, quality, operations, logistics & transportation).
- Mitigation of any product/service quality concerns & resolution of credit or payment issues.

Position Requirements
- Right to live and work in UK
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales or marketing in the metals industry
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Materials Science, Chemistry, Metallurgy, Engineering, or other related field
- Proven record of metallurgical or steel industry sales experience
- Demonstrated work history of working with minimal supervision while delivering measurable results
- Proven customer interface skills including successful experience forming relationships with all levels of customer's organisation
- Strong negotiation skills
- Goal driven and able to work well within a global team from a home office
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills including commercial analysis and justification
- Strong computer skills: proficient in the use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word Outlook, SharePoint and ability to learn other business systems (SAP APO, SAP CRM, Concur, etc.); SAP experience advantageous
- Capable of analysing and interpreting customer and marketing data, developing plans, providing specific recommendations, tracking and aligning results

Preferred
- Advanced degree in relevant technical discipline and/or MBA
- Experience marketing and selling ferroalloys, alloying metals, refractory metals, or steel and foundry related products
- ERP, Business Objects experience
- European language skills (Italian, French, Spanish, German, etc.) beneficial.
