Our ambition in the UK Operations Planning area is to have the right people, with the right skills, in the right place at the right time for the benefit of both our customers and our people. This is key to achieving our 99&3 ambitions and improving customer experience.

It’s an exciting time for our UK Operations planning team. We are growing and looking for a new leader to help deliver effective planning in our operations. This role is based in Sheffield.

In a changing world, our customers demand more from us at different times of the day and through different channels (e.g. online, live chat, phone, paper, email). We are on the exciting journey of evolving our people, planning methods and tools to ensure we’re ready for the future.

The role leads scheduling analysts and real time service advisors, will align to the Corporate Business Solutions area of UK Operations and you’ll work closely with the front line teams to support and enable delivery of our customer service ambitions.

As part of a central team of planners and a member of the Planning Professional Forum, we’re passionate about sharing learnings and developing new methods which allow us to be close to the customer but also part of a group of like-minded problem-solvers driving forward innovation.

Key Skills

•Data Savvy: You will be responsible for ensuring your schedulers put the right people with the right skills in the right place at the right time, you will ensure that off phone activity happens at the right times, and you will ensure the business managers have regular insight to help them continually make improvements to their businesses. You will need to be naturally inquisitive and eager to analyse all customer contact and investigate new and improved ways of forecasting resource.

•Excellent communication and stakeholder management: You will need to be able to bring the numbers to life for your key stakeholders to enable decision making on the size and structure of their operation •Superb team leader - you will be guiding and developing your people to provide that excellent service to our stakeholders and front line staff, and ensure your team not just do the work, but feel empowered to drive our business forwards •Able to handle Pace! This role manages the real time service teams, which help our people handle issues in real time, so an ability to think on your feet and react in a sensible and constructive manner is essential.
