Job Title: Regional Sales Manager – Power tools, Fixings, Adhesives, Consumables & Fasteners

Area responsible for: Southern Region                               Based: London & South East

Remuneration: £40,000-£50,000 + bonus giving OTE circa £60,000

The role Regional Sales Manager – Fixings & Fasteners will involve:

·         Southern Regional Sales Manager position focused on managing a team of 5 looking to grow to 12 in the coming year

·         All of your time will be spent mentoring / managing the sales team, you will not have a direct sales target, you will be looking to get the most out of your team

·         Driving the team forward to turnover as much as possible

·         Support the sales team with any problems

·         Will be involved with recruiting and training the Southern team

·         Small element of dealing with main contractors from the largest in the industry downwards, and specialist sub-contractors across housebuilding, industrial and commercial construction projects

·         Understanding the construction application and requirements of the customer and then identifying the appropriate products for the specific application

·         Attending the relevant training courses to ensure that you have a ‘finger on the pulse’ understanding of the market

·         Ideally based in the South East and commutable into London

The ideal applicant will be a Regional Sales Manager - Fixings & Fasteners

·         Must have man-management experience

·         Must have construction fixings, fasteners, power tools and accessories and construction consumables sectors (or related products)

·         Would consider somebody with no man management experience if you have extensive technical related product knowledge with fixings, fastenings, power tools, power tool accessories and hand tools  that has experience in mentoring / (with experience in training / mentoring people)

·         Previous experience selling power tools and power tool accessories would be an advantage but is not essential

·         An understanding of the different trades in the construction market, market trends and the desire to make sure  the business remains ahead of its competitors

·         Identify the sales team strengths / weaknesses and use it to the company’s advantage
