SIG Distribution are currently looking for a Regional Sales Manager - an internal sales position driving the performance and success of all of our South London branches. This role has the responsibility for significant revenue across the defined geographies and opportunities to grow the business substantially. We are building on our leading position in the market to drive sustainable growth and profitability. What does the role involve?
Reporting to the Head of Internal Sales, the Regional Sales Manager will develop and monitor strategy and sales in the south London region and lead, support and coach the internal sales teams. You will be expected to gain and maintain regional market knowledge of existing and potential customers and set targets for new vs. existing business for your direct reports, working closely with the external sales team and using tools such as Barbour ABI. You will implement reporting and development meetings on a frequent basis, holding personal development discussions to coach and develop your team. You will also create and conduct area wide marketing activities to develop the business and strengthen customer relations coordinated through the Category and Marketing teams. To be successful in the role, you will have a proven track record in coaching and developing internal outbound sales teams to achieve their potential and targets set. You will be forward thinking and act creatively with high ethical standards and have sound technical skills, analytical ability, possessing good judgment. You will need to be a well-organized and self-directed individual, and be eloquent, communicative, assertive and self-motivated with good time management. In summary this person will have the gravitas and leadership capability to lead 60-80 people and annualised revenue streams of £100m +
You will possess a sound working knowledge of all SIG Distribution distributed products, the geography and trading environment within which your potential sales hub will trade and the brand manager and internal sales community across all branches within said hub. It is desirable, not essential, that you will be degree educated, more importantly with proven experience in outbound sales management. You will be an experienced manager in B2B industries with strong analytical, data management skills and business drive. This position is a critical role contributing to the success of the SIG Distribution within one of our most competitive territories.
