Duties & Responsibilities :
Waitrose Shop Trade has established a team of Regional Managers who, through great leadership, are focused on unlocking the potential of Partners to help drive greater and more consistent delivery of our business priorities. This high performing team shares a passion for food, coaching and developing our Partners. We now have an opportunity to join this team with an 8 month fixed term contract.
You will have responsibility for all of the shops in your region, playing an active role in the development and deployment of strategy including: succession planning, resourcing and Partner development. You will be responsible for delivering operational excellence ensuring Waitrose Shops provide an uncompromisingly good standard of shop keeping and customer service, developing a team of motivated, inspired individuals who hold outstanding service, great shop keeping and employee engagement at the heart of all they do.

Job Requirements :

Identifying, gathering and reviewing information to create options and proposals that generate improvements.
Developing a sound knowledge of regional competitor activity ensuring any advantages and opportunities are maximised, not only in a commercial sense but also in the development of high performing talent to allow excellent succession planning.
Using effective influencing techniques to ensure Shop Trade priorities are understood and supported across the region.
Coaching and mentoring your Branch Managers to deliver outstanding commercial performance and leadership to their teams.
Cultivating and nurturing a culture in which Branch Managers can perform to their full potential, maximising profitability and key commercial results through outstanding shopkeeping standards.
