COMMERCIAL CATEGORY MANAGER: RECRUITMENT (Maternity cover)

THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING

This role is a specialist area within Global’s Commercial Category team, working on the recruitment sector. Global is unique in the commericial radio world by having a dedicated recruitment focus and because of this, the sector is rapidly growing.

This team is platform neutral, consultative and collaborative, ensuring that the existing client base continues to spend with Global, together with a clear focus on clients and sectors within recruitment that will need to be developed in order to grow the revenue across our portfolio overall. This role will help develop and then execute the sector business plan, developed with the Head of Recruitment, being mindful of the monthly sector target and the pipeline that will help achieve this.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about our brands, a great communicator, inspiring to work with and adept at developing new business .

RESPONSIBILITES

You will be responsible for generating recruitment revenue, working with the Head of Recruitment to achieve all revenue targets.
As a customer focussed sales person, this role will see you approach, win and build long term relationships with new and existing clients assigned to you.
You’ll be responsible for creating advertising campaigns in response to client briefs written and face-to-face presentations.
You’ll work as part of a fantastic team; to create and win content led briefs, proactively and reactively.
Helping you manage daily activity within your client patch will be an Media Planner who you will train and develop to take the next step in their career
You’ll work collaboratively with the relevant members of the commercial team and relevant experts in order to achieve your business objectives.
Not only will you become an expert in radio advertising and the recruitment sector but also we will train you to be a confident salesperson across all digital, mobile and DAX products, and ensuring that the team are kept up to speed in this area.
You’ll be an expert creator of Keynote presentations that excite our clients with the ideas and products we have to offer
Using Salesforce, you’ll be able to keep your team updated about any opportunities including prospects, forecasting and booked campaigns

KEY OBJECTIVES AND BEHAVIOURS

Be able to talk us through your previous sales experience and ability to secure revenue from senior decision makers and influencers
Experience of working in radio or a genuine passion to get into an audio business – be able to articulate the future opportunities in our industry and how we can commercialise them
We would love it if you had experience of creating & selling advertising campaigns, however this experience is not essential to be successful in the role
You will be somebody who thrives in a target drive, revenue generating environment
You will be a strategic thinker with experience of creating a well though through business development plan, identifying target clients and revenue generating opportunities in your client group
With training, you will be able to deliver strong rationale as to why clients should use Global Radio
You’ll be really creative; coming up with innovative, commercial ideas for you to sell
Show us you’re a team player and can demonstrate how you have worked collaboratively with cross-functional teams and clients in order to continuously identify new business opportunities and maximise revenue for your team and the wider Global business
