DESCRIPTION

As a Migrations Business Development Manager within AWS, you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on cloud migration strategies of Private Equity (PE) firms and their portfolio companies.

You will be identifying the PE portfolio companies that are undertaking a cloud transformation journey and engaging with senior technical leaders to shape and deliver the Migration Acceleration Program. You will be effective at working with customers to describe the business opportunity from migrating, and the methodologies that have been developed to reduce risk and help the customer achieve their outcomes. Working closely with the AWS sales teams, business development team and technical resources you will drive the strategic, technical and financial decisions with the portfolio companies.

You should be comfortable working with cross functional global teams in dynamic organizations as the program will have interdependencies with other teams within AWS. Typical cross-functional collaboration includes, working closely with AWS strategic corporate development, business development, product management, partner and marketing teams on strategic initiatives that tie in to the PE community.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience working in cloud technologies – public and hybrid cloud platforms
· Experience working with enterprise & small-medium sized business customers on transformation projects.
· Experience in tech enabled leadership, consultative, delivery or business development roles
· Experience engaging with C-level executives, IT leadership and cloud service providers
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations including sales, marketing, business development, partners and training

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Led cloud migrations/ tech debt reduction in enterprise and/or small-medium sized business
· Ability to build and convey compelling value propositions
· Technical background that enables you to easily interact with technology leaders and architects
· Some relevant business level technical knowledge, such as: database systems, core distributed computing concepts, fundamentals of cloud computing and virtualization, storage systems, content delivery networks (CDNs) etc. with ability to go deep enough on technical aspects to differentiate between varied AWS services
