Would you like to be part of a team focused on increasing the adoption of Amazon Web Services within the Education market? AWS is looking for an experienced International Education Partner Strategy Leader to develop a Market Leading Partner Community in support of our success in the Education vertical. In this role you will be responsible for setting and executing the strategy for a AWS Partner Community which delivers leading solutions in the Higher Education/Research, K12, and EdTech/Publisher customer base. You will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mindshare and drive adoption of Amazon Web Services. Your mission will be to lead development of AWS awareness and adoption, building of AWS competency, and driving of sell-through engagements with our partner community within the Education industry. In this role, you set and execute the strategy for the recruitment and migration of partners to develop an industry leading Education portfolio. Working backwards from our partners and customers, collaborating closely with other AWS leaders and teams, your role is develop and execute a partner Education strategy in support of success in this vertical.

We’re looking for an accomplished partner strategy & business development leader deeply familiar with education solutions and routes to market in International countries and regions, who has overachieved throughout their career and built strong, deep relationships with education partners, customers and organizations across multiple countries, timezones, and languages.

Responsibilities include:
· Work with multiple partners, sales and technical teams to analyze and drive upgrades to our Education partner strategy. Incorporate these upgrades in partner led go-to-market initiatives.
· Set and manage multi-year targets and work with our field teams to achieve/exceed goals.
· Analyze partner initiatives and provide insight and direction on the team's execution, aligning with key internal stakeholders (e.g. service teams, marketing, PR, legal, support, etc.).
· Effectively use our CRM systems, data warehouse and analytic tools to set and track metrics that define success in our partnerships.
· Prepare and deliver business reviews across AWS & the Partner organization.
· Develop and execute strategic programs to be driven by our global and regional partner teams.
· Travel, as necessary, to engage with field teams and partners to execute initiatives.
The successful candidate will be a broad leader – part market maker, part operator, and part general manager. The leader will build a partner strategy focused on winning new customer segments and growing existing customer segments for the long term. Foundational to this is a deep understanding of the mission of education institutions and the business problems they are trying to solve. As a self-starter willing to operate in a highly matrixed cross-geo structure, you should also have experience in market development of cloud infrastructure and/or enterprise education applications. The right candidate with have excellent leadership skills with the ability to execute on key business initiatives in a broad geography. The role will require working with the education community to help secure lighthouse partners and develop partner and customer relationships at scale. This is an exciting opportunity to own the AWS WWPS partner education strategy and go-to-market definition as a critical underpinning of AWS’s overall strategy for education.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 10+ years of experience in Education vertical
· 10+ years of experience developing, enabling and supporting a partner community
· 10+ years of experience managing sales accounts and territories
· 10+ years of partner/business development, enterprise sales, and/or program/product management experience with a focus on healthcare
· 10+ years of experience with technology platforms, cloud computing and modern application design & deployment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Established network within the government partner and Education market
· Proven ability to drive strategic initiatives and provide value in an Education setting
· Self-starter and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to collaborate to solve complex business challenges
· Excellent writing skills. The ability to author original text including detailed sales forecasts and strategy planning documents
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead executive level meetings
· Experience developing an indirect sales channel, growing partner competencies, and delivering sell-through revenue
· Ability to drive strategic technology discussions at multiple levels with partners and customers
· Experience using Salesforce (reports and CRM)
· AWS Certifications
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
