DESCRIPTION

Amazon Digital Devices and Services--the team behind the best-selling Amazon Echo, Alexa, Kindle E-Reader, Fire Tablet, Fire TV, and Home Security product lines--is seeking an innovative, results-oriented, customer-obsessed team player to help build our digital products business. The Principal BD will support key Amazon relationships and help drive the strategy and execution of partnerships for Alexa services. The ideal candidate has solid business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and strong overall relationship management.

Key responsibilities: of this position are:
· Serve as a key member of the Amazon Digital Devices and Services team in helping to define and deliver the overall digital device strategy.
· Prepare supporting documents and analysis, and present strategic deal reviews to the senior management team.
· Take the lead to identify, evaluate, negotiate and manage partnerships that drive customer delight and support our strategic objectives on a global basis.
· Evaluate the economic and strategic costs and benefits of partnerships and work with appropriate leaders and across all functional areas of Amazon to execute on the relationships.
· Define the success metrics and improve product roadmaps by communicating opportunities and partner feedback to cross-functional teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 8+ years of post-degree Business Development, Partnerships, or Account Management roles in the internet, IoT, mobile, digital devices, and/or high-tech industries.
· Experience structuring and negotiating large-scale and complex partnerships.
· Expert at working with diverse commercial/revenue models.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills along with a proven ability to influence others internally and externally to deliver results.
· Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple projects/responsibilities in parallel.
· Bachelor's degree required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Ability to think strategically and creatively using sound business judgment and quantitative skills.
· Outstanding presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to technical and non-technical cross-functional audiences.
· Proven leadership, problem solving, project management skills, and strong attention to detail.
· Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; strong bias for action
· Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions.
· Experience negotiating and managing partnerships with mobile carriers, mobile phone OEMs and/or offline retailers is a plus.
· Language skills are an added bonus.
