Formed in 1993, our client is a leading provider of training and employability solutions. They are a Prime Contractor for the flagship ESF Workless Families programme for the DWP and are also the Prime Contractor for two Youth Contracts for the Education and Skills Funding Agency.
They now have a part time (18 hours per week) opportunity available for a Placement and Destinations Officer to join them at their Walsall centre to take responsibility for the placement of 16-24 year-old Traineeship and Study Programme Learners into a suitable and relevant Work Placements.
Supporting Traineeship and Study Programme Learners into suitable and appropriate positive destinations to include apprenticeships, employment and Further Education, you must develop relationships with local employers, colleges and apprenticeship providers and support with the preparation of Learners attending interviews for both work placement and possible destination opportunities.
Providing in-work support to Learners in work placement or who have progressed into a positive destination, you will compile daily, weekly and monthly reports to reflect Centre Placement and Destination performance against set company targets and forecasts and undertake pre-vet risk assessments of all placements prior to first use and ensure the requirements of Health & Safety Work Act and the company’s Health and Safety policy are adhered to.
With proven experience of working with young people and relevant industry experience which may include Sales, candidates must be target-driven and capable of perform against weekly and monthly targets set and be able to produce accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports.
Professional and with strong communication and relationship building skills, you must be able to develop positive, professional working relationships with local employers, and apprenticeship/FE providers as well as young people with potentially challenging barriers and from diverse backgrounds. Experience of programmes aimed at 16-24 year olds and knowledge and expertise of programme funding would be beneficial for the role.
