Partner Engineering is a business-facing engineering role, working closely with a variety of teams within Facebook, including our engineering, product management, business development and operations organisations. Our global team works closely with top-tier media partners to understand and help them meet their business objectives using Facebook's platform products. Including products such as Live Video, Instant Articles, 360 and Rights Manager.
In this unique partner-facing engineering team, you will use your excellent technical and business skills to deliver solutions at scale that drive value for our community, our partners, and Facebook.

Translate engineering needs into strategic plans and vice versa.
Become an expert in Facebook’s platform products and their underlying architecture
Work closely with our top-tier news, sports, and entertainment partners, building scalable tools and guiding them through complex Facebook platform integrations.
Represent Facebook at Partner meetings, speaking to technical and business audiences at all levels
Represent the external developer’s view, influencing our product teams, helping them prioritise the product roadmap accordingly
Develop sample code and other materials to share with the broader Facebook developer community
Represent Facebook and its platform offerings at developer events such as hackathons or conferences
Previous experience as a full stack software engineer.
Solid software development skills with experience building software
developed in a modern object-orientated language. For example, Python, PHP, C/C++, Ruby, C# or Java
Excellent communication skills
BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree/experience
Willingness and ability to travel 10% to 20% of time
Previous experience in a business-facing technical role, such as consultancy, PM, entrepreneurship, management or sales engineering
Desire to learn new languages, technologies and platforms and them in a business-orientated setting
Strong presentation skills
Knowledge of consumer products on the web and experience working with media
